Dunegrass Cottage is located in the wonderful beach town of Old Orchard Beach abutting a golf course and minutes from the miles of sandy beaches. The house has four bedrooms, four baths, a four season sunroom, two patios and three levels to spread out across. The house is fully handicapped accessible including a ramp inside the garage. There is AC to keep you cool in the warm summer months.

If you are looking for a great house for a family vacation, a house that lets you, your children and your friends each have their own private area with all the comfort and amenities they would want, but also have areas where you can all gather together and enjoy each other's company, Dunegrass Cottage is just the place. The location in Old Orchard Beach is just minutes from shopping, the OOB Amtrak station, wonderful restaurants and the towns of Oquinquit, Kennebunkport and the city of Portland. Ride the trolley to the center of town and enjoy an evening on the pier. Try your hand at skeetball or ride the ferris wheel. OOB puts on a wonderful fireworks display every Thursday evening throughout the summer.

The house, completed in 2016, is classic style architecture with three stories containing approximately 2,800 square feet of living space with large rooms. Windows, patios and porches allow you soak in spectacular sunlight and enjoy fresh summer breezes.

Upon entering the front door from the porch, the kitchen will be on the right. The kitchen has a large island with four bar stools. The kitchen has granite countertops, gas stove, microwave, dishwasher, plenty of cooking and baking ware, coffee maker and everything else you might need including a lobster pot! Cookbooks collected around Maine might inspire you to stay at home and cook. The dining area has ample room to seat six.

The main floor has all oak hardwood flooring. Straight ahead on the main floor is the living room with a gas fireplace, a couch, and armchairs. Continue through the living room into the cathedral ceiling, four season sunroom classically furnished in white wicker furniture and a ceiling fan. It’s the perfect spot to end a day with breezes coming from windows on three sides. The side door leads you down to a stone patio with plenty of seating and where a gas grill is waiting for your summer barbeque.

The first floor also has a bedroom with a king size bed, windows on two sides, all with wonderful views of the golf course, a closet and bathroom. The bathroom is fully handicapped accessible with grab bars, no lip roll in shower, removable shower head and a fold down seat. All doors are 36” wide on the first floor.

The second floor has three oversized bedrooms, two with windows on two walls to let in the cool evening breezes. The master bedroom with a king size bed has its own bathroom, walk-in closet, ceiling fan, tv, alarm clock and sitting area. The second bedroom also has a king size bed, tv, alarm clock, ceiling fan and large closet. The third bedroom affectionately called the “kids room” has a queen size bed and two twin beds. There is a second bathroom on this level as well as the laundry room. With the sleeping arrangements, our home comfortably sleeps ten. o

​The lower level of the house is another family area. One area has an oversized comfy sectional couch, leather recliner, large tv and bookcases. The other area has a game table for playing cards or doing puzzles and a dart board and glass doors which slide open to a second patio with seating. A full bath with an oversized shower and tiled floor serves the lower level. In the garage you will find an oak cabinet with all the supplies you will need for a day at the beach including toys and towels.

We provide everything you need; towels, linens, soaps, laundry soap, dishes and glasses, and lots of kitchen equipment. We also provide beach towels, umbrellas, beach cart, golf clubs, bocci, and bicycles and helmets. And in case that isn’t enough to entice you to get away entirely from work, wireless internet is available. All you need to do to have a great time is walk through the door. Maps and information about local area attractions, restaurants and events are also provided.
